Senior Priya Torres, Jersey #7, was named to Ventura County's All-County Girls Soccer First Team!
Senior Ian Nelson, and junior Grant Cobos, were featured this week in the Simi Valley Acorn. The two Grace High School students presented their in-depth studies on Mars and the Moon during the American Geophysical Union (AGU) conference in San Francisco on December 14, 2023.
From preschool to high school, Grace students welcomed in the Christmas season with joyful musical performances. The 6th grade and Jr/Sr High bands kicked off the season with their Christmas performance, Hear Them Ring, on November 30th. Then, the Jr/Sr High choir presented Sing We Now of Christmas on December 7th and 8th. Our preschool students took to the stage on December 11th with an adorable performance titled A Joyful Noise, and our K-2nd graders sang their hearts out on December 12th in their show titled, Behold! Finally, the 3rd-6th grade students finished out the season with their performance called Do You Hear What I Hear? on December 13th.
You can see an example of our Preschool's hands-on learning approach in our Butterfly Class's recent exploration of the letter "C." Our students engaged in workbook writing practice, fine motor cereal gluing, and Christmas tree decorating.
Grace Elementary 6th grader, Mia Wright, began her annual event called OPERATION THANK BLUE four years ago. She had a desire in her heart to thank our local law enforcement so she decided to invite them over to her family’s home for homemade cookies and coffee.
Grace High School Robotics Teams competed in the first tournament of the ‘23-’24 season this past Saturday, October 28, in Tustin, CA along with 31 other high school teams from around Southern California. Senior and team captain Ian Nelson, along with sophomores Jacob Patton, Nickolas Villa, and Gavin Willis, clinched the Design Award at the competition!
Students in Aerospace Engineering researched designs of paper airplanes in order to design one that could meet four challenges with a single paper airplane.
God's Word tells us that it is right to honor the generations before us and it is our joy at Grace Elementary to do just that! Grandparents are such a special part of the lives of our students and we love to honor them every year with a school day set aside for them.
