Powerline Remedial Reading Program

The Powerline Remedial Reading Program is a highly structured, carefully sequenced, phonics based program that is designed to improve reading accuracy, reading comprehension, language development, spelling, writing and memory.

Many students with reading, writing, and spelling problems have to be told a "dozen times" before they comprehend or master a specific skill or concept. The Powerline Remedial Reading Program cassettes/CDs are effective because important concepts or skills are presented numerous times in different ways and in multiple lessons until each concept is mastered.

Identifying the student's need is just the beginning of the Powerline process. Powerline's program teaches the child using one of the most comprehensive approaches today. A wide variety of learning technologies; which include laterality training, sequencing, memory development, visual perceptual training, and auditory perceptual training have been integrated to help the struggling student excel.

Powerline Reading is a phonics based program; however, phonics is just one of the components the program contains. For example, there are over 140 specific activities interwoven throughout the program to help the students develop their visual perception, and over 200 activities to help students develop their auditory sequencing and discrimination (crucial skills used in reading and spelling). The program starts with very simple exercises and advances to more sophisticated exercises in the final lessons.
