3. Financial Aid
The financial aid process consists of four steps -
- Knowledge of the Grace Brethren Schools Financial Aid Qualifications Guideline.
- Completion of the Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) application.
- Review by the Grace Brethren Financial Aid Committee.
- A final funding package sent to you for your review and decision.
The Grace Brethren School Council understands that there are a number of circumstances that provide obstacles to families seeking to provide their children a Christian education. It is the belief of the School Council that the first step in evaluating the financial means to this goal is to evaluate your personal lifestyle and spending habits. After that has been accomplished, the Council prayerfully and confidentially considers each request. Our Financial Aid process has been built to ensure consistency and objectivity. We want to assist you in achieving your goals of a Christian education, but must balance that desire with the reality of available funds to meet the many needs that exist. Please prayerfully join us in this process. One note: Grace Brethren Schools does not offer scholarships of any kind.
You may complete an online application by clicking the FAST logo at the bottom of this list. The $38 (eff. 11/1) application fee is non refundable. NOTE: GBS requires that all Financial Aid applicants provide us with their most recent 30-day pay stubs on all parents applying. They are to be mailed along with all other required documents to FAST.
When determining tuition for a Financial Aid grant, the First Child Tuition Rate is always used for each student.
Only one discount is offered for each qualifying student. The multi-student discount for a registered sibling is not used in conjunction with the Financial Aid Discount.
The discount applies to tuition only. All other charges to the Family Billing Account are charged at face value.
Financial Aid is available for K1 through 12th grade full-time students. Preschool and The Grace Academy tuition are not eligible.
Financial Aid will only be extended to students whose current semester grade point average is above 2.49. Additionally, the student must have not been on academic probation or behavioral discipline during the last school year.
Financial Aid is not available for impacted classes (an impacted class means that the grade level is full at the point in time that the Council reviews the Financial Aid recommendations).
Our Financial Aid program is not designed to be depended upon year after year. This permits aid for other qualified families. All aid requests may be reevaluated. Participants should anticipate a reduction from one year to the next.
The Financial Aid Committee must approve all aid at the regularly scheduled Council meeting. You will be notified of the results as soon as possible.
All parties signing the 'Enrollment Agreement' form when registering must file the Financial Aid forms jointly. All accounts must be current in order to qualify for Financial Aid.
Tuition payments continue during the financial aid process and financially responsible parties must continue to keep payments current. Tuition levels will be modified only if Financial Aid is approved.
