Third Place Finish for Grace in TVL#3

Simi Valley, CA - For the third time this year the Tri-Valley League schools met for a tournament and for the third time this year Grace finished behind Oaks Christian and Oak Park.  Despite a gorgous day at Lost Canyons Golf Club the teams struggled on the difficult Sky Course.

Once again the day belonged to Victor Ponte who posted a 2-over round of 74 to finish in first place and increase his TVL lead to 10 strokes overall.  Oaks Christian teammates, Jack Orue and Peter Walling finished in second and third place, shooting 76 and 77 respectively.

Grace Brethren Senior, Cameron Dishman, battled back from a diffiult opening stretch of holes to shoot a 78 and finish in fourth place.  Dishman was 5-over through his first six holes but managed to play the next twelve holes in 1-over par.  Joey Leonard, Dallas Marvin and Dominic Ariondo bunched rounds together in the 80s (83, 85, 85) and Matt Woodard posted an even 100 to bring the Lancers team score to 431.

Grace will be busy again next week playing Oaks Christian, Newbury Park and Bishop Diego before taking some time off for spring break.
