A Windy Win for the Lancers

Santa Barbara, CA - Warm temperatures but an ever increasing wind made for a difficult day on the golf course but the Lancers prevailed with the win.  Competing against Bishop Diego, Grace traveled to beautiful Rancho San Marcos Golf Course hoping to earn another qualifying score but came up just shy while defeating the Cardinals by a score of 430-531.

With incredible wind gusts, Bishop's Trevor Taimuty was the only Cardinal to break 100 as he posted a 93 on the afternoon.  Players had to hustle to mark their ball on the greens as many would blow away if left unmarked and many difficult calculations were made to keep shots in play.

Cameron Dishman bounced back from a difficult Wednesday to post a very impressive 5-over score of 76.  Joey Leonard and Dominic Ariondo both finished at 85 for the afternoon.  Freshman Matt Woodard had a personal best score of 91 with consistent scores of 45 on the front and 46 on the back.  Dallas Marvin finished the scoring for Grace with a 93.

The Lancers will take some much needed time off this next week for spring break and will return on Monday, April 16 against Newbury Park at Los Robles Golf Course.
