Event Recap: Lancers Pick Up Second Loss at Los Robles
Thousand Oaks, CA - Grace posted a fantastic 27-over on the front nine. This earned the team their fifth qualifying score and was also the second lowest 9-hole score (in relation to par) in school history. They trailed Newbury Park by only 8 strokes and were hoping to make up ground on the back nine. That didn't happen. A disastrous back nine resulted in a score of 235 and the Lancers fell to the Panthers by 42 strokes.
Newbury Park was led by Johnathan Nicholson who posted a 1-under 69. Andrew Litwak and Josh Sudman posted 78 & 79 respectively before Curran Barker's 81 and Nick Bublitz's 84 completed the scoreing for the Panthers.
Cameron Dishman and Joey Leonard both finished with 10-over scores of 80. Dominic Ariondo and Dallas Marvin matched scores as well finishing with 87 a piece. Matt Woodard completed the scoring for Grace with a 99.
Grace resumes Tri-Valley League action on Thursday as they travel to Rustic Canyon for the fourth Tri-Valley Tournament. Grace currently has five of the necessary eight qualifying scores for playoffs.
