Boy's Soccer Claims Frontier League Championship
Congratulations to our Frontier League Champions, the Grace Brethren boys’ soccer team! The Lancers marched well through their 2022-2023 season, securing first place in the Frontier league with a 7-0-1 undefeated league record, and an 8-2-1 overall record. The Lancers have been selected to host the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 5 playoffs this Thursday, February 9th at Royal High School in Simi Valley. Kick-off is scheduled for 7:00 PM and admission is free.
Last season the Lancers finished second place in the Frontier league, but advanced to the CIFSS division 7 finals for the first time in program history. Their success was largely due to the heavy foot of junior Jeremy Larson, who finished the season runner-up with 15 goals and 34 points. As a senior captain this year, Jeremy has already surpassed his statistics from last years’ championship-run logging 19 goals and 47 points on the season. The team is hopeful to once again advance deep into playoffs and get another shot at the CIF title.
