Elementary Holds Student Council Elections
Last week our school was covered in posters as we had 34 students campaigning for an opportunity to serve in our student council. On Wednesday, each of those students courageously gave a speech in front of the entire class body. It was incredible seeing all of those students work so hard for an opportunity to serve our school. On Thursday afternoon, we named our 7 core student council members and we will be having more class representatives join them this week. This student council body will be responsible for helping plan and serve at different events and service projects throughout the school year. It is a great opportunity for our elementary students to learn about how to be a servant leader. Biblically, our leaders should serve others first following the model that Jesus laid out for us in the New Testament.
