Grace Brethren Football Starts Summer with a Bang
Grace Brethren football kicked summer off with an overnight tournament in Paso Robles with JV finishing 3-1 on the weekend against varsity teams while the varsity squad took first place, defeating Sierra Canyon in the championship.
The JV program continued its momentum on consecutive weekends bringing all freshman and sophomores to compete in the St. Bonaventure Passing tournament on June 22, which included opposing teams bringing their freshman, sophomores and juniors. Grace would prevail and come out on top as tournament champions.
This past weekend the junior varsity squad would join local schools again for a Frosh/Soph tournament at St. Bonaventure High School. Grace would go 6-0 on the day, defeating Camarillo twice, St. Bonaventure twice, Hart and Westlake. In the 6 games, Grace would amass over 100 points and 7 interceptions.
