Junior High Boys Basketball Celebrates Spectacular Season
For the third straight year, our Junior High Boys' Basketball Team has competed for the Valley Christian Athletic League (VCAL) Championship. Grace Brethren participates with 12 other schools in the competitive VCAL, a league which emphasizes sportsmanship, healthy competition and glorifying God.
After a 2017 Runner-Up season and a dominant 2018 Championship season, our Junior High boys led a tremendous surge throughout the 2019 season. Grace Brethren moved into the Finals and faced an undefeated St. Nicholas Middle School last Friday, February 22nd. Down by 3 with a minute thirty to go, Grace Brethren had to resort to fouling which gave St. Nicholas a chance to pull away, eventually defeating Grace Brethren 41-35.
Grace Brethren allows for students to participate in multiple sports as well as other extra-curricular activities concurrently. Each year Junior High students have the opportunity to try out for a variety of teams. Grace Brethren enforces a no-cut policy and ensures all who want to play take their place on the team. If your student is interested in participating in a sport, please be on the look out for e-mails about the Junior High sports offered.
