Robotics Team 986A is Headed for Worlds!

Grace High School Robotics Team 986A recently qualified to compete in this year's Worlds Championships, making this the 14th consecutive year that at least one team from Grace qualified for Worlds!  Team Captain Ian Nelson said he felt the pressure of breaking such a longstanding record.  The team qualified for Worlds by being awarded the DESIGN AWARD at the California State Competition for most organized and professional approach to the engineering design process, project and time management, as well as team organization.  The judges noted that the team's engineering notebook provided a clear and complete documentation of their robot design process and development of their game strategy.  The team also demonstrated effective communication skills and teamwork.  CONGRATULATIONS to Team 986A: Sophomores Jacob Patton, Gavin Willis, Nickolas Villa, and Senior and Team Captain, Ian Nelson.  We are so proud of you!  Thank you to Grace Robotics Advisor Jake Mittel, Team Mentor Cecily Nelson, and Grace Event Partner Lawrence Stemke.  We are so thankful for your support and mentorship!  Off to Worlds!
