Team 6986C wins at the 1st competition of the season: Design Award Trophy!
Design Award is the requirement for consideration of winning Excellence Award: highest recognition in Qualifying rounds, Driving Skills and Programming Skills. The Team demonstrated an organized and professional approach to their design process, project/time management and team organization reflected in the documentation in their Engineering Notebook reviewed by the Tournament Judges, as well as, the detailed interview includes a presentation with follow up questions about their robot design from the Judges.
Team 6986C was ranked 7th of 30 teams after competing in 9 matches consisting of 2 minutes each to manipulate and score 4 different scoring areas: caps, balls, flags and climb 2 level platforms within a 12'x12' game arena. They finished to the Semifinal rounds.
They compete next on 11-3-2018 at Orchard Hills School, 11555 Culver Drive, Irvine, CA 92602 to strive for Tournament Champions and/or Excellence Award.
