The Elementary Robotics Team
In their first year of competing, 1 of the 4 GBES robotics teams, will be competing at the VEXIQ World Championships in Louisville, KY. They will be there April 28 - May 1 in the Hubble Division. The team competing is the Techno Tyrants team 8889A and here is a link in case you would like to follow their progress!
GBES has 4 teams consisting of 32 students with 7-8 students per team. Mrs Lisa Graves, GBES 5th grade teacher, along with Bill & Donna Schemm and 1-2 parent mentors per team meet every Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to teach designing, building, programming and record in a logbook their progress. GBHS 11th grade student, Nick Marencik has been a huge help as he is teaching Programming to our students since the beginning of the school year.
