Senior High Sports

In our first season back as an 11-man program, Grace football ended the regular season 7-3 and hosted the first round of CIF division 13 playoffs.  In previous years, the team has been State Champion, CIFSS Champion, CIF Regional State Champion and CIF State Finalist.

Beginning in the 2024 season, Grace will participate in the Citrus Coast League.

In 2023, girls' volleyball earned the Frontier League Champion title, and tied for first place.  The Lancers hosted the first round of CIFSS division 6 playoffs. 

Beginning 2024, Grace is excited to have our first ever girls golf team competing in the Frontier League.

The Grace Boys Soccer team finished the 2023 season undefeated (7-0) in the Frontier League.  The Lancers hosted the first round of CIFSS Division 5 playoffs.

Head Coach Matt Larsen has been named Coach of the Year twice since coaching at Grace.

Our Boys Basketball team competes in the Frontier League in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties. 

We are excited to welcome Head Coach Josh Merrill to our coaching staff.  Josh grew up in San Diego.  He played college and professional basketball.  It wasn't until his college career at University of California Santa Barbara was over that he began to learn that life was more than a game.  It was then that he fully came to know Jesus Christ.

Josh spent six years playing professional basketball internationally.  He calls it, "missionary basketball," because in countries like Portugal, Argentina, Australia, Italy, Lebanon, and China, he was able to share his faith in Christ on a personal level through the common bond of sports. 

Josh and his wife Angie reside in Simi Valley with their 3 children.  He has been the Sports Pastor for the last 18 years at Shepherd of the Hills Church.  

Grace competes in the Tri Valley League in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties under the awesome guidance of Head Coach Vince Allegra, who has coached for Grace for 18+ years.  

The Grace JV and Varsity teams compete in the Tri Valley League.  Our Varsity team has a robust pre-season schedule.

Grace welcomes our new Head Varsity Coach, Luke Barrett.  Coach Barrett's passion to teach the game of baseball as well as his deep love of Jesus Christ gives us great confidence in the future of our baseball program at Grace.

As head of our JV program, Coach Barrett displayed his deep care for the boys through his desire to see them develop into godly young men.  In the interview process, Luke reiterated this desire while presenting a clear vision to carry on the legacy of excellence within our baseball program.

Coach Luke Barrett has been married to his wonderful wife, Darcie, for 21 years and has 2 children.  Both of Coach Barrett's children graduated from Grace High School.  Besides coaching at Grace for the past two years, Luke has also coached at Conejo Valley Little League from 2013-2021 where he managed the district All-Star teams as well as served as the Vice President and Division Director. 

Head Coach, Heidi Bird, has been the coach for more than 7 years.  She does an amazing job discipling and training the athletes.  We have a rigorous pre-season schedule and currently participate in the Tri Valley League.  

Grace is thrilled to have started the Boys Golf program back up again in 2023, led by our wonderful and dedicated Head Coach, Rick Hampton.  In our first year back we had one First Team and one Second Team placed athletes.

After joining the Coastal Canyon League, Grace has been fortunate to play against the other local schools in Simi Valley under the direction of Head Coach, Dylan Cereoli.  We continue to grow the team and improve each year.  Go Lancers!
