Grace in Motion is a full dance program offered after school on each of our three campuses. This is an excellent way for your student to explore the world of dance in a familiar setting with a Christ-centered focus. We are offering a wide variety of styles that will be sure to excite students of all levels and interests. Our mission is for students to grow physically, and intellectually so they excel in anything they choose to do; using dance to put Grace Brethren Schools in motion! All classes offered through Grace in Motion will be non-competitive, age-appropriate dance. We focus on training and recreation so that students build knowledge and confidence through dance.
Grace in Motion is offered to all students. Your student does not need to be enrolled at a Grace Brethren School to participate!

Grace in Motion is committed to maintaining the standards of Grace Brethren Schools by adhering to a strict dress code and modesty policy. It’s important for students to abide by this policy because it creates a comfortable and distraction-free environment for all, which encourages students to focus on dance and learning. Additionally, a neat and tidy appearance sets an attitude of attentiveness and respect for students, instructors, and the art of dance.
The following are policies that will be enforced in all dance classes:
● Hair must be secured and away from the face at all times.
● No dangling jewelry (stud earrings OK).
● Shirts must be worn at all times
● Tank tops are acceptable as long as they are not cut too low on the sides
● Pants/Shorts must fit properly so that they stay in place (and don’t slide down) while dancing
● No tight jeans
● Tank tops are acceptable as long as they are not low cut in the front
● No spaghetti straps
● No midriffs. All tops must be long enough to cover entire midsection during all types of movement.
● No Bras or bra straps may show
● No see through tops
● Shorts are acceptable as long as everything is fully covered while dancing
● No skirts (ballet skirts OK)
● All bottoms must be of dance quality and not see through
*For additional restrictions and suggestions on attire, please see the class description*
The class teacher will have the final say on what is and is not appropriate to wear in class. If you are not sure about your chosen attire, ask the teacher first and bring an alternative if it is deemed unacceptable.
If a student does not adhere to the modesty policy, they will receive one warning. If the student breaks the policy for a second time, they will not be allowed to participate in class until or unless they are able to correct it. No refunds are given for missed classes.
We are very serious about this policy. All Jr/Sr High students will be required to sign a copy when registering for classes. Preschool and Elementary parents will sign on behalf of their students.
Absences / Make up Policy:
No refunds are given. If a student misses a class, they are welcome to attend any other class in their age group as a make up. These make-up classes must be done within the same session of the missed class.
