Our Current Athletes to Watch

Caden Regenstreif
Class of 2022

Junior Caden Regenstreif makes an impact on many levels on our campus. He is a multi-sport athlete, playing football and lacrosse and also brings his talents to spacecraft and science clubs. In the past he was in the robotics club and helped lead his team to the VEX World Championships. Caden’s success carries over the classroom, earning a 4.5 GPA and his favorite class is spacecraft engineering where he hopes to pursue a career in.  One of his favorite Bible verses is 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, Because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

Julien Stokes
Class of 2021

Julien is currently a Senior at Grace Brethren High School and holds a 3.59 Cumulative GPA.  My favorite subject is Math. Julien grew up playing multiple sports, including Basketball, Track and Field, Lacrosse, Baseball, Soccer and Football. His favorite sports are Lacrosse and Football. Juliens has earned college offers from Air Force, University of Pennsylvania, University of Columbia and University of San Diego. Julien absolutely lit up the accomplishment category as a junior for the Lancers. He led the LAncers in All Purpose Yards w/ 1705 yards. He was a first team 1st Team All CIF Division 3 RB, 1st Team All County LA Times RBs, 2nd Team All County Daily News RB, 1st Team All Camino League RB, Scorebook Live #2 JR RB CIF Southern Section, Scorebook Live #15th overall RB Southern Section, #1 Southern Section Division 3 in yards per carry (11 yard average) and 4x Game MVP. Julien helped lead the Lancers to their 7th consecutive league championship and 3rd consecutive CIF championship.

 

Nadia Collins
Class of 2022

Nadia Collins is a 2-year Varsity starter on the Lancer softball team. Her Freshman year, she earned Rookie of the Year and 2nd Team All-League for the Tri-Valley League in 2019. Nadia is entering her junior year as a key player to be watching for this season. She will be a rock leading our outfielders in centerfield and will be a big offensive threat in the lineup. Nadia excels on and off the field, earning a 4.0 GPA and her favorite classes are Anatomy and Physiology. Her favorite verse is Colossians 3:23, Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. 

 

 

 

Liliana Arana
Class of 2020
Liliana Arana started as a freshman in all 10 games, prior to the season being cut short due to Covid-19. In her short stint, she led the Lancers to an 8-2 record with 5 shutouts and 2 no-hitters. In her final year of middle school, Liliana was ranked the 34th best player in the nation in the graduating class of 2023. As a freshman, she was ranked the 24th best player in the nation and ranked the #1 best pitcher in the graduating class of California. Liliana had the opportunity to try out for the Mexico national team this past year but due to Covid-19, the tryouts were cancelled. As a freshman, Liliana was awarded team MVP and was included in the top 20 pitchers in Ventura County. Liliana also excels in the classroom, earning a 4.0 GPA. Through these accomplishments, she has always looked to a specific verse that keeps her humbled and motivated every day. Proverbs 11:2: “When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.”

 

 

 

 

Eric Spelts
Class of 2021

Eric Spelts has been on the varsity swim team since his freshman year at Grace Brethren and was team captain during the 2020 season. Eric earned CIF consideration in the 500 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay in 2019, as well as CIF consideration for the 500 freestyle in the 2020 season. Eric’s favorite events are the 200 Individual Medley and the 500 freestyle. He looks forward to having a strong senior swim season in 2021. While dominating in the pool, Eric maintains a 4.0 GPA and his favorite class is Forensics with Mrs.Yonkers. :I found the content extremely interesting and the practical labs were fun.” His favorite bible verse is Matthew 5: 13-16 because it encourages us to be an influence on the people and world around us.

 

Jay Toia
Class of 2021

Jay Toia has been a dominant force on the Lancer football team playing offensive and defensive line. Jay currently has offers from USC, Utah, Arizona and Vanderbuilt. As a freshman, Jay helped lead the Lancers to a Tri- Valley League Championship and a State Bowl game appearance. Jay was honored by the county as 2nd Team all League.  Jay continued his success on the field as the 2018 Offensive Lineman of the year, ALL CIF D4 along with a State Championship win. Jay also participates on the Track and Field team, throwing the shotput while maintaining a 3.5 GPA.
