Alumni Spotlight - Dr. Temidayo Aderibigbe, Class of 2011

Dr. Temidayo Aderibigbe started at Grace Brethren after his family moved to the United States from England. Temi immediately fit in at the elementary school, excelling in his first grade class. Temi participated in club soccer in his early years in America but was thankful to to slow down and develop important relationships in his later years on campus. Even though his role in club soccer slowed down, Temi was a four year varsity soccer player. In addition, Temi was a member of the California Scholarship Federation and the Invisible Children club and took part in fine arts.

As students spread out around our campus for lunch, Temi’s favorite memory was sitting outside of Mr. Nandor’s classroom. “Many of the friendships I made there have lasted to this day.” This is not uncommon at Grace Brethren, our students are truly bonded together. The love and compassion shown each day is what makes us who we are, from our Head of School to our Principal to our grounds keepers to our students.

Grace Brethren Schools, in partnership with church and family, proclaim Christ in all we do. We will nurture the whole student in an academic environment through a Biblical world-view, providing an opportunity for each one to mature in Christ and to accurately handle the word of truth in a secular world. Temi was challenged while at Grace Brethren but more importantly, was prepared to own his faith while attending Yale and beyond. “I think the biggest lesson that I learned during my time at Grace was the importance of truly owning your faith and finding ways to apply it to all aspects of your life, including your education.”

Temi had his sights set on being a doctor from a young age. Everywhere you go, students will always say there is a lot of work involved, Temi knew that being strong academically would help him achieve those goals, graduating with a 4.0 helped set the tone for his next chapter. Temi’s greatest accomplishment thus far is graduating medical school earning his MD. “I’m set to specialize in Orthopedic Surgery which has been a major goal of mine for years.”

Dr. Aderibigbe, we wish you the best and look forward to following where your career takes you.
